BAM! Check out that explosion. A concept piece for Fat Cow Games.
I started my first class today on my path to an M.F.A. in illustration. Right now it seems totally bizarre. I’m nervous, but I smell opportunity. Hopefully my status as a graduate student will get those groovy, creative studios to pay attention to me.
?
I’m working on trying to establish myself as an independent artist, and I realize I need to generate a little publicity. This is a work in progress for an oracle studios sticker idea. Everyone loves stickers, right?
Here’s a commission I did for Creative Crossroads for a player’s handbook. A Mystic Wood Elf Verdant Chanter. He revitalizes the damaged earth using magic. I think this would be a pretty great power to have, especially in this day and age. Imagine being able to rapidly grow any vegetation you wanted? You could revitalize wastelands, feed third world countries, clean the air and power cars. Sounds like a super hero for the modern age.
When I’m trying to warm up my sketching skills, or just mindlessly drawing in some down time, I find that I’m naturally drawn to reptilian heads. In childhood I was enthralled with Dinosaurs, and maybe it stems back to that. Who doesn’t remember how awesome it was as a kid to find out what a dinosaur was. You’ve only been on the earth for 2 years, but already you’re like “If this place has these dinosaurs things, it’s gonna be awesome”
For some reason I find that shape comforting.
